Long time trucker Ron Smith was seriously injured in a truck accident in  1970. Unconscious for 7 days he found he needed a new occupation. Ron has 25 years experience in bookkeeping. He has his 2nd year of Certified General Accounting. Ron is familiar with the problems a trucker and trucking firms face on a daily basis.

Smitty, as he is known to his friends and coworkers' has been a strong advocate for reform of the meal allowance claims structure for truckers. A man of action he has been a mainstay during the on-going campaign to recruit truckers in the TruckSpeaker. He was instrumental in bringing the Meal Allowance Claim Lawsuit before the courts.
